Real-World Success Stories

See how businesses across Southern California have benefited from our comprehensive IBC tank services. These case studies illustrate the value of working with a full-service provider.

Food Manufacturer

Challenge

A Santa Ana-based sauce manufacturer needed 60 food-grade IBC tanks per quarter but found new tank costs prohibitive for their growing operation.

Solution

We set up a recurring supply of reconditioned food-grade 330-gallon IBCs with FDA-compliant cleaning documentation. A trade-in program lets them return used tanks for credit toward their next order.

Result

42% cost reduction compared to new tanks, with zero quality compromises. Quarterly deliveries are scheduled automatically with no downtime in production.

Chemical Distributor

Challenge

A chemical distribution company in the Inland Empire had 200+ end-of-life IBC tanks accumulating on their property with no economical disposal option and growing regulatory pressure.

Solution

We coordinated a fleet of semi-trailers for bulk pickup, processed all 200+ tanks through our recycling program, and provided full environmental compliance documentation.

Result

The distributor received payment for their used tanks instead of paying disposal fees, cleared valuable yard space, and received certified recycling documentation for their compliance records.

Agricultural Operation

Challenge

A large farming operation in Riverside County needed customized IBC tanks for field-deployed fertilizer dispensing with gravity-feed capability and UV resistance.

Solution

We sourced and reconditioned 40 IBC tanks, installed custom 3-inch ball valves, built gravity-feed riser stands, and applied UV-protective coatings to extend outdoor service life.

Result

Delivered a turnkey fertilizer dispensing system at 55% of the cost of new specialized equipment. The operation has reordered twice, expanding their system to 120 tanks.

Safety Protocols

Handling IBC tanks safely requires training, equipment, and discipline. Our safety protocols protect our team, your facility, and the environment throughout every service we provide.

OSHA-Trained Personnel

Every team member holds current OSHA safety certifications and receives ongoing training on IBC-specific handling, hazardous material awareness, and forklift operation.

Personal Protective Equipment

Our crew wears appropriate PPE for every job, including chemical-resistant gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and respiratory protection when required.

Spill Prevention & Response

Every service vehicle carries spill containment kits. Our facility has spill berms, absorbent materials, and documented response procedures for any type of release.

Secure Transport Protocols

IBC tanks are individually strapped, braced, and secured according to DOT transport regulations. Load weights are verified and stacking limits are strictly observed.

Environmental Monitoring

Wastewater from cleaning operations is captured, treated, and disposed of according to local sewer district and EPA regulations. Air emissions are monitored per SCAQMD standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions we receive about our IBC tank services. If you do not see your question here, contact us at info@ibcsantaana.com and we will be happy to help.

What types of IBC tanks do you handle?

We work with all standard IBC tank types including composite IBCs (HDPE bottle in steel cage), all-plastic IBCs, stainless steel IBCs, and specialty containers. Common capacities are 275-gallon and 330-gallon, though we handle other sizes as well. We accept tanks that previously held food-grade materials, industrial chemicals, agricultural products, and more.

Do you serve areas outside Southern California?

Our primary service area covers Orange County, Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire, and San Diego County. We can arrange transportation to other parts of California and neighboring states for larger orders. Contact us with your location and we will work out the logistics.

How quickly can I get a quote?

We aim to provide quotes within 24 hours of receiving your inquiry. For straightforward buying or selling requests, we can often quote the same day. Custom projects and large-volume orders may take 2-3 business days for a detailed proposal including all specifications and pricing.

What condition do my tanks need to be in to sell them?

We buy IBC tanks in virtually any condition -- from lightly used single-trip containers to heavily damaged units suitable only for recycling. Tanks with residual non-hazardous contents, cracked bottles, bent cages, and expired certifications are all accepted. The better the condition, the higher the offer, but we will make a fair offer on any tank.

Do you offer recurring service agreements?

Yes, we offer ongoing service contracts for businesses that regularly need to buy, sell, clean, or recycle IBC tanks. Recurring agreements come with preferred pricing, priority scheduling, and dedicated account management. This is ideal for manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and food processing plants.

Are your reconditioned tanks certified for food-grade use?

Yes. Our food-grade reconditioning process uses NSF-approved cleaning agents and meets FDA requirements for food-contact surfaces. Reconditioned food-grade tanks include certification documentation confirming the cleaning method and compliance status. Not all used tanks are suitable for food-grade reconditioning -- we assess each tank individually.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept checks, wire transfers, ACH payments, and major credit cards. For ongoing business accounts, we offer Net 30 payment terms upon credit approval. Payment for tanks we purchase from you is processed promptly upon collection.

Can you handle hazardous material containers?

We can process tanks that previously held hazardous materials through our licensed partners. Additional fees and handling procedures apply. Contact us before delivering any hazardous material containers so we can arrange proper handling and provide an accurate quote.

How do I schedule a pickup or delivery?

Contact us via email at info@ibcsantaana.com or through our online form with your details -- location, quantity, preferred date, and time window. We will confirm availability and schedule accordingly. Standard delivery is 2-3 business days, express is next business day, and same-day service is available for the Santa Ana metro area.

What is your minimum order for delivery?

There is no minimum order for pickups from our Santa Ana facility at 1020 S Linwood Ave. For deliveries, we recommend a minimum of 4 IBC tanks to keep per-unit transport costs reasonable, though we can deliver single units for an additional transport fee. Bulk orders of 20+ tanks receive free delivery within our primary service area.

Sustainability is not a marketing slogan for us -- it is built into every service we provide. IBC tanks are inherently reusable, and our entire business model is designed to maximize the useful life of every container and recover materials when reuse is no longer possible.

Zero Landfill Policy

We are committed to sending zero IBC tank materials to landfills. Every component -- plastic, steel, rubber, and packaging -- is recycled or repurposed through our material recovery program.

Water Conservation

Our cleaning operations use reclaimed and recycled water whenever possible. Closed-loop rinse systems reduce freshwater consumption by up to 60% compared to traditional methods.

Carbon Footprint Reduction

Reconditioning an IBC tank produces approximately 70% fewer carbon emissions than manufacturing a new one. By extending tank life cycles, we help reduce the industry carbon footprint.
